Black hoops coaches hopeful over hiring trends

Some of America’s top Black men’s and women’s basketball coaches said they’re hopeful about recent hiring trends for minority coaches but also know they’ll face pressure to win for those trends to continue.

Kirk Ferentz, the all-time winningest football coach at Iowa who is coming off his 23rd season at the school, has agreed to a contract extension though 2029 that is worth $7 million annually.
